Activities/Program Camp Schedule

Children, teens, and, adults with mild to moderate physical and developmental disabilities come to Camp Tuolumne Trails to take part in traditional summer camp activities and other enjoyable, enriched programs; With a sense of freedom inspired by time spent outdoors in natural surroundings, campers learn and develop new interest and confidence through guided play, cultivating of social skills through various camper, staff integrated activities.

At all times, the safety and well-being of each camper is paramount and our carefully screened, qualified staff and nursing personnel meet medical, dietary, feeding and personal hygiene care and assistance needs of each camper with respect for the dignity of all.

We are aware that many campers are away from parents and home for the first time. Our staff responds with understanding and support to help make this very important transition a success.

Our activities promote health, fitness, and independence in a nurturing environment of friendship, growth, and possibilities.

The following is a list of our summer program activities, followed by session dates and fees:

ACTIVITIES OFFERED:

Swimming/Pool Games

Adaptive Sports & Recreation: Soccer, Kickball, Flag Football, Bowling, Bocci Ball, Shuffle Board, Frisbee Golf, Archery, Basketball, & Water Field Games.

Table/Board Games: Foosball, Billiards, Ping Pong, Bingo, Card/Board Games

Arts & Crafts: Traditional camp crafts, Tie-Dye, Painting, Beading projects, and various original projects.

Horse Grooming & Feeding: We have two donkeys and a miniature horse to feed and groom.

Nature Studies: Camp Out under the stars,  Hay rides around camp, Short accessible hikes, Pond Study, Active Garden, Star-gazing.

Performing Arts/Evening Program: Opening/Closing campfires, Casino Night, Carnival, Olympics, Dance, and Talent Show to name a few.

Tuolumne Trails Independence Spirit Week (18 and Older)  July 2-6 ($550)

United Cerebral Palsy Summer Camp July 9-12 ($400)

Tuolumne Trails Hanot and Friends (Adults) July 16-20 ($550)

Tuolumne Trails Nurture In Nature Youth Camp  July 23-26 ($440)

**We are collaborating with Nurture In Nature, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Their Services focus on children residing in Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Mariposa, and San Joaquin Counties.
